Factor Meals Menu: Everything You Need to Know Before Ordering

Factor Meals Menu

When it comes to Factor Meals, don’t worry if you’re not familiar with their menu. You’ve come to the right place! As someone who has used this meal delivery service for years, I’ve gathered all the details you need to make an informed decision. In this guide, I’ll cover everything from key menu insights to my personal favorite (and least favorite) meals.

Overview of Factor Meals

Factor Meals is a meal delivery service that specializes in pre-made meals designed to fit specific diets. When you subscribe, you receive a weekly box of freshly prepared meals crafted by in-house dietitians and chefs. Factor focuses on whole foods, lean proteins, vegetables, and other nutrient-dense ingredients. In addition to meals, they offer a marketplace with snacks, juices, pre-cooked meats, and desserts.

Factor operates on a subscription model, delivering meals weekly based on your selected plan. You have until Wednesday at 11:59 PM CST to choose your meals. If you miss the deadline, Factor will automatically select meals for you based on your preferences and past choices. You can modify or cancel your plan anytime.

What to Know About Factor Meals’ Menu

Factor Meals offers a variety of meal plans (more on that below), making it easy to find options that fit your dietary needs. Here are a few key details about their menu:

  • Nutritional Information: Each meal includes details on calories, fat, carbs, protein, and more. However, you must click on each meal to view this information.
  • Ingredients: Factor lists all ingredients for each meal.
  • Preparation Instructions: Meals can be prepared using different methods, though Factor recommends microwaving. However, I’ve found that heating them in the oven enhances flavor.
  • Allergens: Factor notes allergens for each meal. While they offer gluten-free and dairy-free options, meals are prepared in a facility that handles common allergens, so cross-contact is possible.
  • Menu Updates: The menu changes regularly, and you can preview up to three weeks of meals in advance.
  • Menu Locks: Your meal selection must be finalized by Wednesday at 11:59 PM CST. If you don’t choose your meals, Factor will select them for you.
  • Number of Meals: Factor typically offers 35+ meal options each week.

While Factor’s menu provides useful information, I believe they could improve in a few areas:

  • Their main menu lacks key nutritional details upfront (unlike competitors like Territory Foods, which display macros while browsing).
  • Limited filtering options make it harder to quickly find meals that fit your preferences.
  • The net weight of meals is not listed, making portion size unclear.

Factor Meal Plans & Example Meals

Your menu options depend on the plan you choose. Here’s a breakdown of Factor’s meal plans and what to expect from each.

Chef’s Choice Plan

This plan includes all 35+ meals available, combining options from every other plan. It’s my top choice since it provides the most variety.

  • Example Meals:
    • Fusilli & Ground Pork Tomato Ragu with Roasted Green Beans
    • Italian Herb Chicken with Vegetable Risotto & Roasted Green Beans
    • Tomato & Romano Chicken with Roasted Zucchini & Parmesan Herb Butter

Keto Plan

Factor’s Keto plan includes low-carb, high-fat meals. If you’re following a keto diet, this plan is a solid choice.

  • Example Meals:
    • Grilled Steakhouse Filet Mignon with Parmesan Creamed Spinach, Broccolini & Asiago Butter
    • Cheeseburger & Bacon-Tomato Chutney with Garlic Broccoli & Parmesan Herb Butter
    • Garlic-Mushroom Chicken Thighs with Creamy Cauliflower Rice & Garlic Green Beans

Calorie Smart Plan

Designed for weight loss, these meals contain around 450-500 calories.

  • Example Meals:
    • Creamy Lemon Pepper Chicken with Carrot-Pea Rice Pilaf, Roasted Broccoli & Carrot Coins
    • Shredded Chicken Taco Bowl with Roasted Corn Salsa & Cilantro Lime Sour Cream
    • Tomato Basil Chicken Risotto with Parmesan Broccoli

Vegan & Veggie Plan

This plan features around 8 meals per week, making variety limited. If you prefer plant-based meals, other services may be better options.

  • Example Meals:
    • Roasted Five Vegetable Enchilada Bowl with Mexican-Style Cilantro Rice
    • Three Bean Vegan Chili with Cornbread Casserole & Tofu-Based Crema
    • Vegan Mushroom Marsala with Onion Risotto & Roasted Garlic Green Beans

Protein+ Plan

These meals contain 30+ grams of protein per serving. Many meals overlap with the Keto plan, meaning they tend to be high in fat as well.

  • Example Meals:
    • Black Pepper & Sage Pork Chop with Smoked Cheddar Brussels Sprouts & Creamy Broccoli
    • Cheesy Chicken & Peppers with Garlic Butter Zucchini
    • Tomato & Romano Chicken with Roasted Zucchini & Parmesan Herb Butter

Factor’s Marketplace Menu

Factor also offers an add-on marketplace, featuring items like:

  • Breakfasts (bundles available at a discount)
  • Drinks (cold-pressed juices, shakes)
  • Desserts (cheesecake, macaroons)
  • Pre-cooked meats (burgers, salmon, chicken)
  • Sides & Snacks (green beans, granola, biltong)

Most marketplace items are keto and low-carb due to Factor’s overall focus.

My Favorite & Least Favorite Meals

Top Picks

  • Char-Grilled Burger & Mushroom Cream Sauce with Steamed Spinach, Tomatoes & Parmesan Cauliflower Mash
  • Shredded Chicken Taco Bowl with Roasted Corn Salsa & Cilantro Lime Sour Cream
  • Grilled Steakhouse Filet Mignon with Parmesan Creamed Spinach, Broccolini & Asiago Butter
  • Truffle Butter Filet Mignon with Potato-Leek Mash & Roasted Carrots

Least Favorites

  • Peanut Buddha Bowl with Cilantro Quinoa, Gochugaru-Spiced Peanuts & Sesame Broccoli
  • Vegan Mushroom Marsala with Onion Risotto & Roasted Garlic Green Beans
  • Herb Cream Cheese Salmon with Red Pepper Cauliflower “Grits” & Broccoli

Final Thoughts

Factor Meals offers a diverse menu with high-protein, keto-friendly options. However, their meals are often high in fat, and the lack of filtering options can make selection a bit frustrating. That said, I’ve found most meals to be flavorful and satisfying.
